What happens
Anne Brody travels to New York with her friend Alice to see Clyde Dexter, the man she believes she is engaged to. Clyde cancels their meeting, and Anne grows desperate, convinced she can will him back to her. Her obsession leads her and Alice to his family home in Riverdale, where Anne struggles to accept that Clyde has moved on. The story is presented as a Suspense play, first broadcast on April 25, 1946, with Nancy Kelly and Kathy Lewis in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
