What happens
Maurice Tilyou, a faded stage actor and father of the late actress Marsha Tilyou, invites a small circle of suspects to a formal dinner in his home to unmask her murderer. Narrator Ben Hecht, who is a guest, recalls the Friday night gathering and the people who loved or resented Marsha, including her playwright husband Alfred O'Shea, the producer Fritz von Klobber, and the gangster-turned-agent Maury Stein. Ben remembers the events that led up to the dinner, including a bitter quarrel backstage and the discovery of Marsha's body in her hotel room. The episode is part of the Suspense radio series, and this installment was broadcast on August 24, 1944. Frederick March stars in the production.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
