What happens
Dr. Neil Cream, a quiet and unsettling lodger, arrives at a Bloomsbury boarding house off Tottenham Court Road in London after the death of his wife in Hull. He courts the landlady's daughter Daisy and a young woman named Millie Vickers, and an uneasy friendship develops with a medical student, Edward Bridgman. Based on police and court records, the play presents a story of poison, told through the doctor's own calculated words and the suspicions of those around him. Mr. Joseph Kearns stars in this Suspense presentation first broadcast on September 13, 1955.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
