What happens
Harry Burton, a claims-office worker, agrees with his wife Edna to fake his own death so she can collect a $100,000 life insurance policy. He takes out the policy, then pays a drifter named Wallace to accompany him on a drive up a mountain road, where the plan is to stage a car accident. The transcript covers the opening stages of the scheme as Harry sets it in motion, with the drifter and the insurance company's manager introduced along the way. Suspense is the series, and the play was broadcast on 1956-09-25 with Parley Baer and Michael N. Barrett starring.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
