What happens
Superman carries the disabled Atlantic Clipper, a giant flying boat, across the Atlantic toward England, having saved its passengers from sinking. Arriving over London late at night, he is caught in searchlights and mistaken for a German bomber, drawing anti-aircraft fire. Royal Air Force pilots spot the strange sight and pursue him, reporting a man carrying a plane on his back. Clark Kent's whereabouts are unaccounted for among the passengers, and Lois Lane is questioned about the mysterious figure. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
