What happens
Clark Kent, working in his role as Superman, investigates after Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen vanish following reports of a talking cat. Lois and Jimmy have been held in a locked room, hearing the yowling of a cat and a voice that seems to come from it. Kent discovers that the voices came from radio receivers hidden in gold wristwatches given to Daily Planet staff, and a wrecked funeral hearse carried a shortwave transmitter. Inspector Henderson and Perry White accompany him as he traces the watches to the publisher, John W. Grayson, who has suddenly left for Europe. This is part twelve of The Adventures of Superman, first aired January 24, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
