What happens

Jimmy Olsen is convinced that Lois Lane's Siamese cat can talk, and it has warned him against Perry White. Lois vanished after a taxi ride, and the cat was a gift from an unknown admirer. Jimmy brings the cat to the Daily Planet and confronts editor Perry White, who doubts him. They take the cat to a zoo veterinarian, Dr. Ensterler, for an examination. Perry insists the cat cannot speak and that Jimmy imagined it. The episode is part four of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on January 14, 1946.

The Daily Planet offices, the zoo, and Perry White's suburban house in the Metropolis area.

Characters: Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Lois Lane, Dr. Ensterler

Listen for: The Siamese cat speaking in a human voice, and Lois Lane's voice pleading for help at the end.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
