What happens
Perry White, editor of the Daily Planet, and reporter Clark Kent are alarmed when publisher John J. Grayson suddenly appoints Homer Smith to run the paper and orders it to attack the World Peace Federation. White and his staff refuse to comply, and White reveals a contract clause that lets him control editorial policy for ten more months. Smith responds by dismissing White. Later, White fails to meet Kent, Lois Lane and Jim Olsen at the Metropolis Hotel, and Kent suspects that Grayson is being pressured by someone. This is part two of the 1946 Adventures of Superman radio serial, first broadcast on August 2, 1946.
