What happens
Superman has been lured into a trap and dropped at sea in a cedar chest with a fragment of kryptonite, leaving him unconscious. Clark Kent's colleagues at the Daily Planet, Lois Lane, Perry White and Jimmy Olsen, grow worried when he disappears after learning of the theft of the kryptonite from the museum. Lois broadcasts an appeal on the radio, hoping Superman will hear it. Meanwhile, a fisherman and his daughter Abigail, living in a shack on the beach north of Metropolis, spot a box on a sandbar as a storm gathers. The episode is part eight of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on October 5, 1945.
