What happens
Superman is overpowered by a fragment of green kryptonite, and a small Cockney thief named Snigger seizes him and the stolen crystal. Snigger drags the unconscious hero toward a taxi, planning to deliver him and the kryptonite to his employer, the dangerous woman known as the Scarlet Widow. A policeman finds Superman on the sidewalk and doubts his story about the stolen box. Superman searches the city through the night for Snigger. At dawn the Scarlet Widow, in her penthouse, waits with Snigger for mysterious visitors who she says will bring money and restore her power. The episode is from The Adventures of Superman, a radio series, and was first broadcast on October 1, 1945.
