What happens
Jimmy Olsen and Professor Twiddle are trapped in the underground city of the moon-dwellers when swarms of savage red ants attack. Using dirt and stones thrown at the leaf rafts, they fight off the ants crossing the moat. Superman arrives to help, but the ants are launching more rafts all along the moat. Superman carries Jimmy, Poco and Professor Twiddle up to the moon's surface, where the bitter cold threatens them, while the ants wait below. This is Part 18 of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on March 12, 1946. The story pauses on the surface as Superman seeks a way to save his companions.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
