What happens
Superman, Jimmy Olsen and Professor Twiddle descend a deep shaft into the underground world beneath the moon, hoping to find Pogo, the little fat man who was carried off by the strange moon creatures. In a dark, winding tunnel, Jimmy and the professor trade nervous remarks while Superman leads the way cautiously. Their search leads them to a river of black water, where Jimmy is swept away by the current. Superman dives in after him but returns empty-handed, and the professor is left baffled. Then Jimmy's voice is heard calling for help, and a horde of yellow-eyed creatures approaches through the darkness. This episode is part of the Adventures of Superman radio series, and the original air date was March 4, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
