What happens

Superman, Jimmy Olsen and Professor Twiddle are on the moon when Jimmy and the professor are overcome by a strange gas and fall into a deep sleep. Poco, their companion, has disappeared. Superman investigates the damaged radar rocket and finds a shaft cut through its floor, leading down into the moon's surface. Superman finds the hole and suspects the disappearance is connected to the strange underground passages. Superman, Jimmy and the professor descend the shaft into a dark tunnel, roped together, to search for Poco. The episode is a continuation of a serial, from The Adventures of Superman, which first aired on March 1, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
