What happens
Jim Olsen, a cub reporter at the Daily Planet, and copyboy Beanie Martin investigate a music publishing firm after their friend Poco is swindled out of $450. Poco, a naive houseboy who speaks in rhyme, had paid the Metropolis Song Publishing Company to publish his song, Dizzy Lizzie, believing it would make him rich. Jim has learned from a letter that Poco was asked for more money to complete his share of the publishing costs. Ignoring Clark Kent's instruction to stay in the office, the two boys decide to gather evidence against the firm. They arrive at the company's office and go inside, uncertain what they will find. This is an episode of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on December 9, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
