What happens
Editor White is shot during a struggle with Popo, a small man who speaks in rhyme and who has demanded more money. Popo then vanishes, and Sheriff Johnson discovers that he is locked inside a refrigerator car on a freight train that is already moving away. With no direct way to stop the train before it reaches Benson City, Clark Kent and Batman decide to act. Superman carries out a rescue from the moving train and brings Popo back alive, though the little man is in poor condition. The episode ends with Popo gone from his bed at dawn. This is part two of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on December 5, 1946.

Listen for: The sheriff's phone calls to the railroad yard and the moment Superman and Batman board the moving train to rescue Popo from the refrigerator car.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
