What happens
Clark Kent waits at the apartment of racketeer Brock Nielsen as Superman. Nielsen is on his way home from a cafeteria with his henchman Brownie, and they discuss the Daily Planet's exposé of their housing racket. Meanwhile, two henchmen, Eddie and Joe, guard the abducted editor Perry White in a cold warehouse on Christmas Day, and they wait for orders from Nielsen. Jim and Lois, at the Planet, worry about White's safety while listening to the radio. The story is part eight of a serial, and the episode ends with Nielsen and Brownie buying a copy of the Daily Planet on the way back to the apartment.
Metropolis, on Christmas Day, in a city street, Nielsen's apartment, a cold warehouse, and the Daily Planet office
Characters: Superman, Clark Kent, Brock Nielsen, Brownie, Perry White, Eddie, Joe, Jim
Listen for: The church bells and carols, and Brownie's car horn signal that Nielsen has ordered the henchmen to act against Perry White
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
