What happens
Clark Kent and Perry White of the Daily Planet are at work on a newspaper campaign against a racket that swindles war veterans through phony housing schemes. After a threatening anonymous phone call, White refuses to back down. Meanwhile, the racketeers plot against the paper. Night watchman Tom Steadman is found drunk on duty and fired, though he insists he was attacked by an intruder. Clark senses that danger is near, and the episode builds toward the start of the morning press run. This is the third part of the Adventures of Superman radio serial, originally broadcast on December 18, 1946.

Listen for: The growing sense of danger as the morning press run approaches, and Clark Kent's unease
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
