What happens

Lois Lane and Horatio Horn, two Daily Planet reporters, investigate a sea monster reported off the coast near St. Selmo, a Canadian fishing village. Caught snooping in the shack of fisherman Ike Barnaby, they are held at gunpoint and locked in a storage shack on a hidden cove. Meanwhile Superman searches for them and spots a suspicious fishing trawler offshore loaded with diving equipment. Lois and Horatio are taken out to sea by Barnaby and confront the monster, which turns out to be a camouflaged submarine. This episode is part 10 of The Adventures of Superman, a radio series first broadcast on May 9, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
