What happens
Clark Kent, posing as a reporter, has tricked the Inca Indians into believing that Lois Lane, Terry White and engineer John Craig are dead, and he has hidden himself behind a curtain in the Inca council chamber. He overhears the chief Nehru and his advisor Lumati debate whether the white prisoners should be killed. A disembodied voice bargains with Nehru, offering a river for the Incas in exchange for the prisoners' release and an end to opposition to the mountain highway. Nehru agrees, giving the voice until sunrise. Kent then returns to his friends and enlists Craig to divert the underground river, and they plan to recover dynamite from the plane. This is the fourteenth part of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on December 15, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
