What happens

Clark Kent, disguised as Superman, works to save Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White and John Craig, who were condemned by the Incas after being thrown into a sacred underground river. Kent first frees Lois and Jimmy, then returns to the palace dungeon to bring out White and Craig. Using straw dummies and a staged rockfall, he convinces the Inca council that the group has been killed. Kent then considers how to win the Incas' trust and help their people, so that the Pan-American highway project can continue. Meanwhile, the chief Nero plans to kill the remaining engineers held in the tunnel.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
