What happens
Clark Kent discovers that a strange flute jammed into the controls of Perry White's stratoplane may be a clue to the disappearance of three expeditions in South America. John Ives, at first dismissive, later learns the flute is a genuine Inca relic and urgently tries to find Kent. Kent returns to Washington, where Ives arranges an army plane for a flight to South America with Lieutenant Elliot as co-pilot. Jimmy Olson, meanwhile, plans a youth defense group and delivers the maps that Kent left behind. As the plane flies over the mountains, Elliot hears a noise, and Kent discovers someone hiding in the tail compartment.
Washington and Metropolis, followed by an army plane flight toward the Andes Mountains in South America, during the early days of the United States' entry into World War II.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
