What happens
Superman and Batman search the empty apartment of Spider Gantz, a gym owner who is the brains behind the monkey burglar, after they fail to find Robin there. Spider has forced Billy Riggs, a young acrobat, to carry out one last robbery at the apartment of Raja Sarat, a visiting United Nations delegate with valuable jewels and cash. Superman and Batman find a newspaper clipping suggesting the Raja is the target and head toward him, while Spider's henchmen hold Robin bound in a car. The episode is part nine of the serial The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on February 24, 1947, and the story ends on a cliffhanger.
