What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter at the Daily Planet, is asked by his editor Perry White to write a feature story about Superman's most unusual and most exciting adventure. Clark searches the newspaper's files and settles on a story from the paper's past. Before he can begin, the office boy Beany brings in a strange visitor who wants to speak to Superman, a man who wears shorts and sandals and calls himself Anthar. Anthar claims to come from the planet Utopia and says Earth's gravity affects him. Jimmy Olsen is drawn into the strange encounter, which is shown with a demonstration of Anthar's unusual weight. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman radio series, and the broadcast is from April 8, 1947.

Characters: Clark Kent, Perry White, Beany, Jimmy Olsen, Anthar
Listen for: Anthar's claim that he comes from the planet Utopia and his demonstration of how light he is in Earth's gravity.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
