What happens

Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen visit the ranch of Comanche Joe, a wealthy Indian oil man, where strange accidents have been plaguing his property. The ranch foreman, Ronson, is behind the mischief, aiming to convince Comanche Joe of a legend about a howling coyote so the Indian will sell his ranch cheaply. After a dangerous oil well fire, a cowboy named Tech is involved in a detonator plot, and Ronson and an accomplice named Wilson plan a fresh scheme. A message on birch bark declares that Comanche Joe will die when the moon rises above Sugarloaf Mountain. Superman makes an appearance during the fire. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman radio series.

A ranch and oil fields owned by Comanche Joe, with burning oil wells, a mountain cabin, and a bedroom at the ranch house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
