What happens
Superman, Perry White, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are staying at Sebastian Beauvais's hunting lodge in northern Canada, trying to solve the mystery of a headless Indian that has been terrifying the superstitious Beauvais. Niall Graham, a sinister guest known as the Laffer, has sworn to do away with Clark Kent and his companions. Perry White wakes after being grazed by a bullet and recalls the night's events, including a headless rider on a white horse seen vanishing over a canyon. He suspects a trick is being played to drive Sebastian out of his mind. Later, White goes into the woods with Jimmy to photograph animals and tells him about Daniel Boone's long hunts. A grizzly bear then comes toward them while White's rifle is unloaded.
