What happens
Superman, the Man of Steel from the planet Krypton, searches for a kidnapped submarine after foreign agents led by Dr. Deutsch seize the Navy's newest undersea craft. Reporter Lois Lane and editor Perry White have been taken aboard as hostages. Captain Denning and designer Walter Grayson are forced to help Deutsch, who threatens an attack on a passing ship. The episode is part four of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on May 19, 1941. Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter, is absent from this part, and the story centers on Superman's pursuit after he learns from a caretaker where the submarine has gone.
