What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane investigate a string of mysterious accidents at the Bar O Dude Ranch, where someone seems determined to frighten owner Steve Graham into selling. Jimmy Olsen and Alfredo ride out toward a deserted cabin, where Alfredo insists they stop for a meal, and they are ambushed by a masked gunman who ties them up and leaves them there. When Jimmy fails to return, the ranch hands are called out to search, and Clark receives a threatening note warning him to stay away for two days. Clark refuses to leave the case, while Lois and the others argue over what to do. The episode is part seven of a serial, and this part ends with Jimmy and Alfredo trapped in a burning cabin.
