What happens
Superman and Batman search for Robin, who has been abducted, after the Escaped convict Eric Larson, who had a grudge against them, is found dead in a bungalow outside Metropolis. A frightened man named Willie Dope tells them that a young man was cornered in an attic by a sinister figure named Marsh, and that a shot was heard. Searching the house, the heroes find no sign of Robin. Later, Bruce Wayne and his butler Alfred receive a message that suggests Dick Grayson is alive, and he asks them to meet him at a harbor where a black yacht waits. The episode is part nine of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on 1946-10-08.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
