What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are investigating a mystery centered on the sacred black pearl of Osiris, an Egyptian god. Tumbleweed Jones, Jimmy's cowboy friend, has been seized by a gangster called Sleepy, who says he was paid $500 to bring Tumbleweed in. Tumbleweed is held at gunpoint while Sleepy's associate, an Egyptian named Hoomi, claims an injury from a fight with an explorer named Sidney Rightcross. Clark questions a man at the Daily Planet who insists he is Sidney Rightcross, while Clark says a woman of that name exists and that he met her. A telegram from London is then delivered in answer to Clark's cable to the explorers club. The episode ends with a whisper in a darkened room.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
