What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are assigned to interview the British explorer Sidney Reichroft, who turns out to be a woman, and she tells them her life is in danger after she broke the seal of the Tomb of Osiris in Egypt. That night they attend a stage performance by a magician calling himself the Great Gambini, during which Reichroft vanishes from a box, and the theater later proves to have been unused for years. Back at the Daily Planet, editor White is baffled by the story and dismisses Kent. Kent goes to Reichroft's hotel, where he finds the room in disarray and learns that a heavily veiled woman has been taken away by two men to an address on Water Street. The episode is part three of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on 1941-01-20. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Kent heads for that address.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
