What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane, reporters for the Daily Planet, investigate the disappearance of a specially armored freight car carrying five million dollars in gold. The car vanished somewhere between Bolton and Metropolis, and the pair question the train's engineer, the station agent at Bolton, and the crew. Their inquiries attract the attention of men who want the matter kept quiet, and they begin to follow Clark and Lois. This is the opening part of the 1940 episode of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on November 25, 1940.
