What happens
Batman and the detective Clancy Myers track a clue to where the crooked politician George Latimer has taken Superman. A cattle dealer named Wilkins reports seeing Latimer and two companions near an old mill, and Batman and Myers set out to find him. Meanwhile, in a deserted barn, Superman is held captive by Latimer's henchman Gus and the brilliant Dr. Marsh, who has been dosing him with liquefied kryptonite. Superman is dazed and does not know who he is, but when a tree falls on the barn roof and moves him out of the mineral's range, his strength returns. The episode ends with him unaware of his identity, wearing overalls instead of his costume. The Adventures of Superman aired on June 3, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
