What happens
Batman and Robin trail the politician George Latimer as he drives away from his house late at night, suspecting he is taking the captive Superman somewhere. Latimer's secretary Blake sits beside him, and Latimer has recently obtained Kryptonite, a substance that drains Superman's strength. The pursuit runs through dark, winding country roads, with the two detectives keeping their headlights off to avoid being noticed. Latimer grows uneasy as he senses a car behind him and begins planning a way to shake off his pursuers. The episode is part nine of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on May 26, 1947.
