What happens
Superman has been weakened by a fragment of Kryptonite, a substance that drains his powers when he is within ten feet of it, and the last known piece is held by George Latimer, a former political boss Superman exposed and had sent to prison. Batman and Robin sneak into Latimer's house to find the Kryptonite and end up hiding under a bed, then on a porch roof, then dropping into a dark basement. Original air date May 21, 1947, from the Adventures of Superman radio series. The episode ends on a cliffhanger in the basement, with Batman and Robin startled by a strange sound and a sight revealed by a match.
