What happens
Superman confronts political boss George Lattimer at the Metropolis Auditorium, where Lattimer has publicly accused him of framing evidence and attempting blackmail. Superman walks toward the platform despite the danger posed by the last remaining piece of kryptonite, which drains his strength. Batman and Robin are in the audience, and Lois Lane and Perry White watch with growing unease as Superman climbs the steps. The episode builds toward a tense confrontation on the stage, with a fragment of kryptonite apparently hidden nearby.
