What happens

Lois Lane, Perry White and Jimmy Olsen play an April Fool's joke on Clark Kent, but their own night goes strangely wrong. They drive to White's home for a celebration dinner and find the house gone, leaving only an empty foundation. Later the house is back in place, and Sheriff Teagle scolds them for wasting his time. A call from reporter Tony Sloan sends White and his companions to an address on March Bank Drive, where they find a sleeping tramp who carries a note from Tony. The note directs them to Pier Six on the Metropolis waterfront, where they find no one waiting for them.

Metropolis, including White's suburban home, March Bank Drive, and Pier Six on the waterfront

Characters: Lois Lane, Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Clark Kent, Sheriff Sam Teagle, Tony Sloan, Judge Harrison

Listen for: The empty foundation where White's house stood, and the dark, deserted pier at the end

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
