What happens
Clark Kent, the reporter for the Daily Planet, is aboard the Juanita with Professor Thorpe, sailing toward Manao Harbor after recovering a sunken Spanish gold treasure. Earlier, Bill Wentworth and Jimmy Olsen were trapped in a burning hotel by Escobar's men, and Kent rescued them as Superman. Captain Maddox, badly wounded in an attack on the Juanita, is being treated by Doctor Corraldo. Escobar and his henchman Carlos plant underwater mines across the narrow channel leading into the harbor. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman radio series, first broadcast on September 16, 1940. The story ends with the Juanita approaching the channel as the mines wait below, and Clark Kent watching from the dock.
