What happens

Clark Kent recounts how he went to the planet Utopia to rescue Jimmy Olsen, and how he and Jimmy were captured by the regent Zoram. Forced to keep up a pretense while Zoram listens through a hidden device, Clark tries to protect his secret identity. Zoram holds a deadly explosive sphere and prepares to use it on a helpless prisoner, while Clark stands rooted to the ground by the planet's crushing gravity. The Superman series is aired in 1947, and the broadcast is presented by Kellogg's PEP, the Sunshine Cereal.

The planet Utopia, in Zoram's palace and courtyard, where gravity is extremely strong.

Characters: Clark Kent, Superman, Jimmy Olsen, Zoram, Captain Taylor

Listen for: Zoram's threat to hurl the explosive sphere at Jimmy, and the sudden rumbling and cracking that shakes the ground.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
