What happens
Superman, disguised as Clark Kent, and his companions Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane and editor Perry White are on an expedition led by the eccentric Dr. Leander Cameron to find the lost continent of Atlantis, believed to lie at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. After Jimmy is badly injured in an attack by a Nazi U-boat, Superman flies him to a Navy base, where a doctor operates on him. Meanwhile, Cameron's multi-depth submarine prepares to dive, and Superman faces the problem of how to rejoin the crew when they believe he was shot and sank beneath the waves.
