What happens
Editor Perry White, reporter Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen wait on a private beach outside Metropolis to board Dr. Leander Cameron's multi-depth submarine for an expedition in search of the lost continent of Atlantis. Dr. Cameron arrives on a motorcycle while wearing a diving suit and helmet, explaining he forgot to pack it. Once aboard, the submarine submerges, and a fault in the main balance tank leaves the crew unable to control the vessel, which begins sinking fast through the ocean depths. The crew struggles to find a way to stop the descent.
