What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, travels to the coast of Maine after receiving a letter from his young colleague Jimmy Olsen, who has reported strange noises and lights at Lighthouse Point. Kent sails out with Jimmy in a small cat boat through rough water in the dark. Kent and Jimmy pass a speedboat running without lights, and Jimmy describes a sound from his aunt's cellar and the dog's sudden silence. The light they follow appears to come from the wrong place, and the boat ends up on a beach near Lighthouse Point. Jimmy's aunt, Miss Louise Horn, is seen running on the open beach in the rain, and the episode ends on this question.
The city room of the Daily Planet, and later the rocky coast of Maine near Margate Breakwater and Lighthouse Point

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
