What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are aboard the clipper ship Clara M during a voyage around the world when Captain Hawkins is badly injured in a storm and lies at the point of death. With no doctor on board, Clark Kent decides to perform an operation on the captain, guided by a doctor from a nearby South American liner by radio. Barnaby objects to the plan, and the captain's condition is uncertain as the operation proceeds. Meanwhile, some of the crew grow restless and start to scheme against the ship's leadership.
