What happens
Vincent Kirby leads a group of metropolis businessmen calling themselves the Knights of the White Carnation, who wear white carnations in their lapels. At a meeting in his library, they discuss a newspaper photograph of the Metropolis High School basketball team and object to its foreign-named players. Charles Kenfield objects strongly, calling the group bigoted and dangerous, and he walks out, threatening to expose them in the press. Kirby and his associates discuss how to silence him. Later, Kenfield is found dead on the sidewalk outside his home, and the reporter Lois Lane begins looking into the case with Perry White's paper. This is the Superman radio adventure of February 26, 1947, the first part of a serial.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
