What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, is sent west by city editor Perry White after warnings of a plot against the railroads. The Wolf, a shadowy figure, is planning to derail the silver clipper train, and his henchman Keno Carter waits in a mountain shack to set off explosives beneath the track. Clark boards the train, which is bound for Denver and Salt Lake City, and is soon involved in a dispute with the conductor over a missing ticket. When a rockslide blocks the line, Clark clears the track himself and reaches Denver ahead of schedule. The episode is an installment of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on February 16, 1940, and the story continues beyond the portion covered here.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
