What happens

Clark Kent and Lois Lane, reporters for the Daily Planet, are sent by editor Perry White to interview Dr. Horace Morton, a meteorologist whose weather predictions have been almost entirely accurate. Morton lives alone on Music Mountain outside New Birmingham, and he has refused to explain his methods. On the drive up, Kent and Lane encounter a storm and two men who take their car after a roadside confrontation, and later Lane finds a paper in the bandits' car that links the storm to a payroll robbery. At the observatory, Morton's assistant Rogers appears terrified and urges Lane to keep silent. The episode is part one of the story, which is set in The Adventures of Superman radio series and first aired on June 10, 1940. Lead actors are not named in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
