What happens
Clark Kent, secretly Superman, learns that Midway Martin plans to burn down Happy Land amusement park. Nancy Bartlett, the park's owner, has already sold it to Martin under pressure, and Lois Lane has become worried about Kent's whereabouts. Lois goes to Carnival Town to search for him, and Martin confronts her there. Lois follows Martin into the darkness to recover the bill of sale, and Nancy waits at Happy Land for her call. Clark later receives a telephone call from Lois, but the connection is poor and the call is cut off mid-conversation. This episode is part five of the Adventures of Superman serial, first broadcast on July 17, 1940.
