What happens
Superman and Inspector Henderson trick crooked political boss George Latimer into a confession by playing a recorded voice outside his window at midnight. In the second part of the story, Batman tells Clark Kent about Robin, Dick Grayson, whose parents, the Flying Graysons, died when a high wire snapped during a circus performance years earlier. Batman recalls the dying words of John Grayson, who whispered that it was murder. Batman explains his suspicions about circus ringmaster George Larson, who had been convicted of extortion and threatened Robin. Robin has since been receiving threatening letters and anonymous calls, yet Batman has learned that Larson died in prison two weeks ago. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman series, broadcast in 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
