What happens
Clark Kent visits Governor Wheeler, who confesses that he was pressured by political boss George Latimer into wrongdoing involving war veteran Sam Robbins. Kent suspects Latimer was behind the shooting of Joe Martin and the framing of Robbins. Kent proposes hiding a listening device in the governor's library so that Latimer can be caught speaking openly. Superman retrieves the device, and as the governor brings Latimer upstairs, the plan is put to the test. This is part 13 of the Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on September 19, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
