What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen, traveling by dog sled through the Northwoods toward the Canadian border, come upon a bundle of valuable mink furs dropped from a plane. Their guide Batiste joins them as they examine the skins. A smuggler named Chuck approaches, claiming he wants to quit the gang and offering to lead Clark to their hideout. Clark sets out with him, leaving Jimmy and Batiste behind. The men are soon taken captive by the gang leader, Bull Ragland, who ties them up and takes them to a cave. The episode ends with the captives bound and a bear stirring in the darkness nearby.
