What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane, along with Perry White, editor of The Daily Planet, are invited to witness a demonstration of Dr. Roebling's secret voice machine in his basement laboratory on the outskirts of Metropolis. The inventor explains that sound waves never vanish, and his machine can recover spoken words long after they were made. He demonstrates by replaying a sentence from earlier in the afternoon, then plays a recording of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Afterward, Dr. Roebling asks the reporters to hold their story for a few days. Meanwhile, the inventor's greedy nephew, Jack Roebling, and his wife Chicky are watching the visitors leave, and Jack plans to break into the laboratory.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
